Wake up on Dewees

There are no hotels, no restaurants, and no cars.

Just a private barrier island most people never see, accessible only by ferry and protected by conservation for generations to come.

If you're looking for nightlife, room service, and packed itineraries, Dewees probably isn't for you.

If you're looking for quiet beaches, dark skies, wildlife, and a slower rhythm of life, you may have found exactly what you've been searching for.

Two Ways to Experience Dewees.

Dewees Island is a private residential community.

Overnight stays are intentionally limited, helping preserve the island's quiet character while offering a rare opportunity to experience it firsthand.

Arrive by ferry, move by golf cart, wake up somewhere genuinely unlike anywhere else near Charleston.
